| No Vacation for TotalCare |

One recent autumn day employees at Thermo Conductor Services (Prospect, CT) were arriving to work and starting to boot up their computers when they received a phone call – the NSI TotalCare Team was on the line to tell them their Internet connection was down.
It was a perfect example of the proactive nature of the TotalCare service, especially because Thermo Conductor's President Tracie Baker, who also handles the family-owned company's IT, had just departed for a two-week European vacation.
“I wanted to travel with peace of mind,” Baker said.
No worries.
Over the phone a TotalCare technician asked an employee to launch an Internet browser to confirm the situation. “Huh, look at that, we are down,” was the response.
The technician then walked them through recycling the cable modem power and the firewall, and then they were back online in minutes.
“The great thing about it (TotalCare) is you know if something is happening before we even know it,” Baker said. “It is a very seamless operation where we just power up the computers and use them.” |
