| Outsourced NSI Technician |
| A Team Player |

The so-called “little things” are often taken for granted, but not by people working at the Wilton , Connecticut Town Hall complex.
For the past five years an outsider has worked in their midst and yet he is referred to as, “the definitive asset” to the town.
His name is Dominic Mastro, a veteran NSI support technician who is part of the onsite tech team for Wilton Town Hall .
“He does a great job,” said Joe Bonomo, Management Analyst for the town. “He is the ‘Go To' guy.”
Dominic has quietly helped to keep the town's critical operations running. For example, Wilton has been installing what's called ‘Reverse 911' for the police and fire departments. Reverse 911 will allow the town to notify all residents by phone in case of a town-wide emergency.
Dominic recently installed the system's hardware. “The Reverse 911 tech rep said that the hardware installation was the most professional he's ever seen,” according to Bonomo. “It cut his installation time from 8 hours to 2 hours allowing him to start training early and leave half a day early.”
During Dom's tenure the IT infrastructure in town has grown from 3 or 4 servers, to over 21 physical and logical servers, and a myriad of support devices and equipment, plus almost 100 individual workstations.
It's simply all in a day's work for NSI support technicians like Dominic Mastro.
In an international crisis the President first asks, “Where are the aircraft carriers?” When there is an IT crisis to be solved in Wilton Town Hall or in any of the town's 18 departments, the question is, “Where is Dom Mastro”?
“Dom is solid as a rock,” Bonomo said. “He's one of these guys who wake up in the middle of the night thinking something might be wrong and he dials into the system to make sure everything's okay.” |
